Il Divo !
Hee hee heeee..
I still can't believe that last night I actually watched Il Divo live concert here in Jakarta.
Big thanks to Dad's friend whom helped me with the ticket stuff, and also.. with the invitation so that I and my mum didn't have to queue sooooo long
plus we got a really mouthwatering dinner :)
I was soooo eager to go the the concert.
My seat was S-55, 3rd row in my seat class, Gold A.
The show should be started at 8 pm, but it overdued until approximately 8.30 pm.
1st and 2nd song.Il Divo kicked off with their single from the 3rd album,
Notte Di Luce/ Nights in White Satin, and consecutively sang
Si Tu Me Amas. They introduced themselves afterwards and Seb told the audience to simply surrender whilst they serenaded us.
3rd and 4th.Up next was
Have You Ever Really Love a Woman/ Un Regalo Que Te Dio La Vidafollowed by
Everytime I Look at You-- great.. my very two wished-for tracks were sung in a row.. yippie! ^^
5th and 6th.They dedicated
Mama to their Mums and to all Mums in the hall.
After they sang the best worded song,
Passera, Seb endeavored to break the ice with the audience
"Tri.. Terimakasih.... haha.. that's one I remember.."-- hysterical awws from the devotees
"Se, Selamat malam... *smile*
two!"-- even wilder awws...
7th and 8th.Next song apparently availed Seb in joining Il Divo, hence he addressed
Caruso to David, Carlos, and Urs.
Carlos pointed out heroic act when someone was in love and embodied it in
Hero.9th, 10th, and 11st.The show went on with them singing another track from Siempre album,
Musica.
During the long interlude, they went backstage for costume change, which unfortunately wasn't
that significant, except for Seb and David.
Later on, they proceeded with
Desde Dia Que Te Fuiste/ Without You followed by
Nella Fantasia.12th and 13th.Next, they presented two sentimental tracks from their 1st album,
Feelings and
Solo Otra Vez/ All by Myself.14th and 15th.Preceding the upcoming song, Carlos said something in Spanish which he later translated to English,
"Love song is romantic in whatever languages"Replied by Seb,
"And who can't resist the love song sung in the world's most romantic languange.. Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore
.."-- I frantically nodded, causing my handycam shaked... -_-"
Soon after they finished singing PQTME, they really turned on the heat.. man, that was awesome!
They got all audiences clapping hands during
La Vida Sin Amor.Furthermore, Seb danced through the song!!!!!
tsk tsk tsk...
An undeniably fine French guy singing Latin song and dancing salsa?
I just couldn't ask for more..
-- uncontrollably drooling....:P
Urs got the fans ecstatically screamed,
David laughed at Seb and Carlos while they were dancing..
I didn't notice Carlos dancing since I was too absorbed by Seb and David... haha.. oh, well...
16th and 17th.Il Divo was kindly attempted to lower the fans' heart rate by singing ballads,
Senza Catene/ Unchained Melody and
A Mi Manera/ My Way.
They acclaimed the latter as farewell song, followed by irrepressible
"Nooooo...".Left high and dry, the crowd went berserked and shout for encore..
"we want more! we want more! we want more!!!!"18th and 19th.The assemblage hysterically screamed when Il Divo was graciously back on the stage, presenting their debut single,
Regresa A Mi/ Unbreak My Heart.
Then David promised to be back to Jakarta ASAP...
"And I believe, with a little luck, hopefully we can meet each other someday, somehow... just like the song from WestSide Story, Somewhere"They sang
Somewhere by sitting on the stage edge, letting the fans sat in Platinum class shaking their hands, taking pictures, handing gifts, KISSING cheeks.. !!!
-- I was sooooo envioussss!!!! grrhh..
The breathtaking concert ended splendidly with loads of red and white confettis at 10.30 pm, left me in awe...
They pleasingly sang my favorites tracks..
Un Regalo.., Everytime I Look at You, Passera, Caruso, Feelings, PQTME, and
La Vida Sin Amor.It was too bad that they didn't performed
I Believe in You/ Je Crois En Toi.
Ahhhh.... what can I say?
Il Divo, simply inimitably 4 gorgeous guys with tremendous vocals....
I really look forward for your coming!!!
*ticking another box in my wish-list....* :)

slacking around
Ahem.
Those two words pretty much cover the tall, long, and short of how I spend my recent days, or should I say, weeks..
my best fellas are somehow sort of unavailable
rains pour all over town, mostly all day long; makes me think thrice about wandering out, considering the chance that I might not get home dry.
However, it takes more than heavy rain to restrain me from being a frequent mall rat :P
My DVD pile is almost done without me realising it!
-oh well, came to think about it, I did spend this week slothfully watching those DVDs, from Silence to Heroes...
and I even re-watched Full House, Monk, and Scrubs...
*rolling my eyes*sigh...
the bright side is, the scene evokes the atmosphere of some contemplations here..
by
'some' I speak euphemism.
I am that kind of person who can't quite keep my head unoccupied.
And these days make my head even more jumbled with a lot of Qs and sadly few As.
Here is the deal;
I'm resolute to improve my English, thus my next postings will likely serve as reviews on how much progress I make on my English.
If you happen to notice any grammatical or/and diction errors in my writings by any chance, do feel free to correct :)
-please-I'll try my best to restrain the inclinacy to babble out my thoughts in Indonesian.
Let's see how well I can pour my perspectives in decent texts and avoid using banal vocabularies and expressions.
-oohh! I even halt several times just to type those lines above, sigh...-So, the incoming postings will likely convey my angles of view with respects to various subjects.
For starter, I'd like to talk about English course
For19 years of my life, I've attended quite a number of English classes
I hereby claim these English teachers highly competent;
Sir Yoseph -Regina Pacis secondary, Miss Flora-St. Ursula high, former, Justin- EEC, and my best English teacher ever, Miss Widya
*God, I hope she'll never discover my blog....I prefer learning English individually; from what I've seen by far, that's how it works the best.
I don't have the luck to know much students learning English in class or group accomplish such adept English skills.... do you?
Hm, I'd like to share a few tips for learning English....well, they works for me
or at least, I
think they works for me
*grin*First thing first, thou shalt establish a rock-solid grammar foundation
-yeah, it sounds like I rewrite the Ten CommandmentsIt's true that we seldom pay attention to grammatical errors in conversations, but it's compeletely different when it comes to writing.
I perceive grammar as a reflection of how well one equips himself.
Neglecting the grammar while learning English is equal as neglecting your purse at home while you went out shopping; you hardly can buy anything, really.
Secondly, thou shalt do a LOT of readings, covering wide range of texts;
this includes films' subtitles.
It doesn't matter if you're not totally understand what's the bottomline; it's just a matter of time before you grasp the crux.
Thirdly, thou shalt possess at least one dictionary
-preferably English-English one- and if possible, a thesaurus.
Those will do a great favor in advancing your vocabularies.
You see, not many students whom I know feature such rich vocabs.
In fact, I only happen to know...
*counting*... about 4 of my acquaintances whose vocabs really amaze me.
In my opinion, using hackneyed vocabs and expressions in writings can be said like wearing the same dress in various occasions; one word: boring.
If one can put great effort to make himself less boring in his appearance, why can't one act the same towards his writing?
Last but absolutely, 100 % not least... thou shalt find a fine yardstick.
He/she could be anyone; teacher, comrade, family member.
Just make sure that he's damn qualified.
Well, with the Four Commandments and luck
I think one might have a prosperous outcome in English skill
hee hee hee *wiiide grin*
