Expectancy

One of my English course assignments required me to write an essay in which I were obliged to describe my problem solving approach.
I started the essay by defining what a problem appears to me; a lack of coherence between my expectancy and the reality I’m facing.

Hence I stated my problem solving method is to find a way providing my expectation goes along with the reality.
And since I don’t comprise such power to change the facts, I have to re-adjust my expectation.
And...these recent weeks truly teach me the how and the why :)

Being a utopian, I often wear myself out keeping up with my standards.
Oh yes.

And it generates even more issues since sometimes I demand similar qualities from my acquaintances, whether I realize it or not.
I personally think that this could be a fundamental issue in most relationships, let alone love ;). *cough cough*
Ahem, the expectations matter, not my being utopian.

Each status bears its own expectation.
And for me, it can be quite irritating to find out that certain people just can’t keep up with my bars.

Anyhooo, back to the why and the how.
This week teaches me that it isn’t such a fallacy to have certain expectations, but I have to bear in mind that there is also a chance that I might encounter the unexpected.

…
Hmm..
Does anyone still keep in mind the lesson taught in the childhood?
About sincerity in helping others and not expecting rewards.
Well, it can be a good example in this context.

I don’t realize that most times I expect people to do me the same favor as what I did for them.
I used to think that to hold some expectancy is inappropriate.
But now I don’t perceive it wrong at all; we're bound to have some expectancy.
All I have to do is to note that there is a great chance that my acquaintance would act in contrary and unexpected way.
..... Or maybe, some people just can't be relied on?...

I don’t perceive what I do as lowering my bars.
The sole reason why I raise this idea is to gain some peace in mind.
I assume it’s neither the hope nor the expectation that let one down… it’s simply the incapability of comprehending the unexpected reality.

And I think it requires great amounts of modesty, acceptance instead of ignorance, and gratitude.
Eurgh. Easier said than done.

Oh well, everything's bound to be like that.

And I stated in my essay; sometimes things turn out to be way beyond our expectancy.
Whether it's good or bad, it's hard to tell.
But I keep this close to my heart: it's not over until it's good.

I’m officially addicted to Animal Planet The Jeff Corwin Experience!
Hahaha… this guy really cracks me up..
He occupies a really great sense of humor… he appears with various silly acts in every single show! *lol*

"I am a married man! I demand some respects!! I deserve respects!"

-> when the sunshine bear vigorously licked him on the face

"see the Black Caiman?? see? okay.. we're getting close here.. ooh, oh, he submerges! theeerre.. he goes...and why is that? that's because I didn't shut up.. ok.. I learn my lesson.. Note to myself, no talking when searching Caiman. Just looking, no talking. grrh.. it's getting personal." and he splashed into the river... *lol*

Actually I know this programme for quite a while, but just lately I put ‘watching Jeff’ into my routine.
And I miss the episode when he visits Indonesia and dances Bali dance… argh!
Shoot.

But !
What I like the most from Jeff Corwin is his passion towards his chosen profession..
You can see this spark of joy in his eyes –literally- when he encounters some amazing creatures.
Enthusiasm and passion, can’t say enough about those gorgeous traits.
*praise them*
